DUVERNAY-TARDIF TRADED TO THE JETS

The New York Jets acquired offensive guard Laurent Duvernay-Tardif from the Kansas City Chiefs for tight end Daniel Brown.

What does it give the New York Jets
In Duvernay-Tardif, the Jets get a quality guard who has missed a lot of time since the COVID-19 pandemic as a resident doctor in his native Montreal. Being traded to the Jets gets him closer to home, while also upgrading New York's offensive line.

What does it give the Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs were not using Duvernay-Tardif this season, preferring rookie Trey Smith at right guard. KC also has veteran Kyle Long, who might return later this season. Therefore, Duvernay-Tardif was expendable. Brown is mostly a blocking tight end.

Fantasy impact
There is no direct fantasy impact here, although Duvernay-Tardif could help the Jets' young skilled players. Brown is not worth picking up in most leagues.
