CHIEFS ACQUIRE O-LINEMAN ERVING

The Kansas City Chiefs acquired offensive lineman Cameron Erving from the Cleveland Browns for a fifth-round draft pick in 2018.

What does it give the Kansas City Chiefs
In Erving, the Chiefs add an extremely versatile (yet inconsistent) lineman capable of playing all five positions up front on offense. He will probably serve as a backup in Kansas City and see time all over the offensive line in 2017.

What does it give the Cleveland Browns
A huge bust in Cleveland, the Browns were at least able to get back a draft pick in next year's draft in exchange for Erving, selected 19th overall in the 2015 NFL Draft. Originally a center, he was tried at all positions on the line--but failed.

Fantasy impact
This deal changes nothing in terms of the fantasy values of skilled position players for both the Chiefs and Browns, as Erving should only see the field when injuries occur.
