He simply manhandled defenders, clearing major space for ball carriers. Steamrolled the line of scrimmage and was the definition of a road grader. Was also extremely hard to move in pass protection. He was an explosive athlete with a rare combination of bulk, power and quick feet for the position. Sometimes struggled against shifty edge rushers. Later in his NFL career, he moved inside and became a serviceable guard. He lasted longer than his peers and was a born leader throughout his career.
