SIXERS, NUGGETS DEAL FOUR

The Philadelphia 76ers acquired forward Reggie Evans and the rights to forward Ricky Sanchez from the Denver Nuggets for forward Bobby Jones and center Steven Hunter.

What does it give the Denver Nuggets
In Hunter the Nuggets land a quality backup center who can provide some dependable depth behind starter Marcus Camby. The latter was Denver's only pure center before this deal, so it's a smart insurance move. Meanwhile, Jones is still pretty raw but can provide quality defense off the bench. If Hunter can stay healthy, he may be a bit of a steal here for the Nuggets.

What does it give the Philadelphia 76ers
Trading Hunter for Evans is essentially a swap of size for rebounding. The 76ers have a big need for more boards at the power forward spot and Evans will definitely provide those. Sanchez may one day be the best player involved in this deal, but he's still very young and is playing overseas. Overall, a medium-risk, high-reward gamble for the Sixers.
