KINGS BOOST BIG-MAN DEPTH WITH MBAH A MOUTE

The Sacramento Kings acquired combo forward Luc Mbah a Moute from the Milwaukee Bucks for second-round draft picks in 2016 and 2018.

What does it give the Sacramento Kings
In Mbah a Moute the Kings get a strong defensive combo forward who can provide energy and options in the frontcourt. While he isn't much of a factor offensively, Mbah a Moute can be an excellent stopper when on his game and should be able to back up at (or even start at) both small forward and power forward. His veteran experience and versatility should bring stability to the Kings' frontcourt.

What does it give the Milwaukee Bucks
The very busy Bucks have made a lot of moves this off-season so far, and this one is clearly about dropping some salary. While Mbah a Moute was a useful role player for Milwaukee he lost his spot in the pecking order last season to younger big men such as {P Larry Sanders} and {P John Henson}. With {P Gustavo Ayon} and {P Ekpe Udoh} also stepping up in the rotation Mbah a Moute become the odd man out.

Fantasy impact
Aging veteran {P John Salmons} held down Sacramento's starting small forward spot much of last season and expected newcomer {P Carlos Delfino} could take over in 2013-14. Meanwhile at power forward the Kings appear set with {P Jason Thompson}, so it looks like Mbah a Moute will likely come off the bench for the Kings and back up at both forward spots. In Milwaukee this deal opens up more playing time for Henson, who has star potential at power forward.
