T-WOLVES TRADE ROBERSON, LEE TO WARRIORS

The Golden State Warriors acquired the rights to combo forward Andre Roberson and shooting guard Malcom Lee from the Minnesota Timberwolves for a second-round draft pick in 2014 and cash.

What does it give the Golden State Warriors
The Warriors didn't keep Roberson after landing him here, flipping him to Oklahoma City for No. 29 overall pick {P Archie Goodwin}, who in turn got flipped (along with Lee) to Phoenix for the No. 30 pick, combo guard {P Nemaja Nedovic}. That said, they ultimately wind up with a solid prospect in Nedovic, one who probably has more down-the-road star potential than Roberson.

What does it give the Minnesota Timberwolves
Minny obviously is looking to cut salary with this move, since Roberson will be guaranteed a contract as a first-round pick and Lee is an established NBA player. Adding a future second-rounder is a bit of a downgrade in long-term talent here but the cash helps them with other more pressing roster matters.

Fantasy impact
The end result of this deal player-wise was Nedovic landing in Golden State, and he probably isn't quite ready to push for a spot in the Warriors' talented backcourt rotation. That said, in keeper leagues Nedovic is worth keeping an eye on since he has great athleticism and an outside chance to even be a starter someday.
