ED DAVIS DEALT TO THE KNICKS

The New York Knicks acquired center/forward Ed Davis and two second-round draft picks in 2023 from the Utah Jazz for cash.

What does it give the New York Knicks
The Knicks may be parting ways with bigs such as Taj Gibson and Bobby Portis, so Davis has a chance to back up stud center Mitchell Robinson in 2020-21. Davis is a journeyman who can rebound the ball, but that is about it.

What does it give the Utah Jazz
The Jazz are clearing out their backup centers. After sending Tony Bradley to Detroit earlier, now they part ways with Davis. Therefore, Rudy Gobert's backup in 2020-21 figures to be rookie first-round selection Udoka Azubuike.

Fantasy impact
There is no fantasy impact here, as Davis will be a depth center for the Knicks. He may not even become a regular part of the rotation, so he can be safely ignored in all league formats.
