Marcus Morris will join the Knicks on a one-year deal, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
Morris (illness) is available Monday against the Cavaliers.
Talented offensively at both forward spots: can score in a variety of ways, and is an efficient passer. Gets the most out of his big frame offensively, hitting mid-range jumpers over smaller defenders & posting up with a nice back-to-the-basket game. Able to finish strongly at the hoop too. Could do much more defensively and as a rebounder, especially considering his size and athletic ability. Not yet a knock-down 3-point shooter (despite taking a lot of shots from downtown). Still not particularly consistent in general.
Long Range Potential: Athletic scoring regular at either forward spot.
