TORREYES LANDS WITH THE DODGERS

The Los Angeles Dodgers acquired infielder Ronald Torreyes from the Toronto Blue Jays for cash.

What does it give the Los Angeles Dodgers
Torreyes has a ways to go before he becomes a viable big leaguer but the Dodgers can be patient with him. He adds some organizational depth in the middle infield, but not much else.

What does it give the Toronto Blue Jays
The Blue Jays gave up on Torreyes less than a month after acquiring him from Houston in a similar trade. Clearly, he did not make any kind of impression on the organization during that time.

Fantasy impact
Torreyes is still only 22 years old, so the Venezuelan infielder might have some long-range fantasy upside at some point. That said, he doesn't even need to be on the radar until he makes bigger strides in the minors.
