ORIOLES ADD UTILITY PLAYER PAREDES

The Baltimore Orioles acquired outfielder/infielder Jimmy Paredes from the Kansas City Royals for cash.

What does it give the Baltimore Orioles
Paredes is still fairly young (25) but has yet to establish himself in the big leagues. He can play all over the field, which adds to his value. With the Orioles franchise, he might end up playing more in the outfield.

What does it give the Kansas City Royals
The Royals had picked Paredes up off waivers from Baltimore, ironically enough, in mid-February, but they designated him for assignment recently. They'll receive cash in return but will simply move on from here.

Fantasy impact
Paredes doesn't really have much fantasy value unless/until he becomes a big-league regular. Therefore, there isn't a lot to see here. Move it along.
