TRIBE ADD LEFTY HYNES FROM PADS

The Cleveland Indians acquired pitcher Colt Hynes from the San Diego Padres for cash.

What does it give the Cleveland Guardians
Hynes could become a candidate to serve a bullpen role with the Indians in 2014, and he has the stuff to become a quality situational lefty. Therefore, this is a low-risk move for Cleveland that could pan out.

What does it give the San Diego Padres
The Padres decided to part ways with Hynes, who is already 28 years old and has yet to establish himself as a big leaguer. He saw action in 22 games with San Diego in 2013, but the results just weren't there.

Fantasy impact
Hynes isn't expected to play a big role in the Indians' bullpen, so his fantasy value isn't very high. That said, it's a little better now that he's on a true contender in the American League.
