WHITE SOX THE LATEST TO TRY WELLS

The Chicago White Sox acquired outfielder Casper Wells from the Oakland Athletics for cash.

What does it give the Chicago White Sox
Wells has been with the Mariners, Blue Jays, Athletics and now White Sox since late March, so he has clearly become a journeyman this year. He has talent but he needs to find his niche with some big-league team in order to stick. Will it be on the South side of Chicago? Perhaps.

What does it give the Oakland Athletics
The A's didn't have much use for Wells once {P Yoenis Cespedes} returned from a stint on the disabled list, so they decided to move him along for some cash. The A's will continue to roll with Cespedes, {P Coco Crisp}, {P Chris Young}, {P Josh Reddick} and {P Seth Smith} in the outfield.

Fantasy impact
At this point, Wells would simply love a chance to stick on somebody's bench in the big leagues. His fantasy value won't change until he finds a big-league home.
