BO-SOX, TRIBE SWAP INFIELDERS

The Boston Red Sox acquired infielder Alex Cora from the Cleveland Indians for infielder Ramon Vazquez.

What does it give the Boston Red Sox
Mark Bellhorn's bat has been disappointing at second base for the Sox this year, so in acquiring Cora they figured why not get some good defense if we're not going to get any offense anyway? Cora is, indeed, a slick infielder and can also give the Sox some speed. He and Bellhorn will likely share time at second base.

What does it give the Cleveland Guardians
Vazquez was rarely used in Boston and may be put to better use as a utility infielder in Cleveland. He can be used at second, third or short and will provide a little more pop off the bench than Cora offered.
