DUBOIS TO THE METS

The New York Mets acquired outfielder Jason Dubois from the Chicago Cubs for cash.

What does it give the New York Mets
The Mets have had a tough time staying healthy this season and despite a lot of talent in their outfield, have struggled to get consistent production there. With Carlos Beltran and Gary Sheffield both injured lately, the power-hitting Dubois might be useful down the stretch. He is very proven at the Triple-A level.

What does it give the Chicago Cubs
The Cubs don't need a lot of help in their outfield and obviously have decided Dubois doesn't fit into their future plans after drafting him almost a decade ago.
