THOME TO THE DODGERS

The Los Angeles Dodgers acquired pinch-hitter Jim Thome from the Chicago White Sox for infielder Justin Fuller.

What does it give the Los Angeles Dodgers
The Dodgers will use Thome exclusively as a pinch-hitter down the stretch, since he isn't physically able to play in the field. He is a great bat off the bench for L.A.

What does it give the Chicago White Sox
The White Sox have thrown in the white towel for this year, so at least they received a decent prospect in Fuller in exchange for veteran Thome. This also frees up Carlos Quentin to DH more.
