NATIONALS BRING IN VIVAS
The Washington Nationals acquired infielder Jorbit Vivas from the New York Yankees for pitcher Sean Paul Linan.

Washington takes a chance on Vivas, a prospect whose stock was falling in New York. A light-hitting infielder, he can hit for average, get on base and steal bases. Vivas did not find much success in his MLB debut in 2025, but this fresh start could help as he now tries to carve out a role with the Nationals.
What does it give the New York Yankees
Vivas likely would not have been more than a bench player for the Yankees moving forward, so they add to their pitching depth instead here. Linan is a 21-year-old starter still early in his development. He gives New York an up-and-coming right-hander with good strikeout ability.
Fantasy impact
Vivas and Linan are not on the fantasy radar at this time. Vivas would need to establish himself with the Nationals to generate any interest, while Linan has a ways to go before potentially earning his first call-up.
