KITTREDGE HEADS BACK TO BALTIMORE
The Baltimore Orioles acquired pitcher Andrew Kittredge from the Chicago Cubs for cash.
What does it give the Baltimore Orioles
In Kittredge, the Orioles add a veteran high-leverage reliever. The right-hander spent time with Baltimore last year, and they clearly want him back in the late-inning mix this season. He will probably not be their closer, but he should take on an important role in the bullpen.
What does it give the Chicago Cubs
Kittredge pitched well in his few months in Chicago, but they decided to move him here rather than exercise his 2026 option. Some cash is the return from the Orioles. Expect the Cubs to add to their bullpen soon.
Fantasy impact
Kittredge will lose some fantasy value as he is unlikely to be Baltimore's primary closer. That said, he will still have appeal in formats that value holds and strikeouts.
