In Legumina, Seattle picks up a depth reliever. He has not had much success in his early MLB work (6.95 ERA in 22 IP), but the 27-year-old has fared well in Triple-A ball and may be on the verge of earning a big-league job. He may challenge for a role in middle relief in 2025.

After Legumina failed to impress in his first MLB call-ups, the Reds designated him for assignment this off-season. They have been upgrading their pitching in free agency and via trades, so this deal freed up a roster spot and still got them some cash back.
