BREWERS BRING IN HUNTER RENFROE

The Milwaukee Brewers acquired outfielder Hunter Renfroe from the Boston Red Sox for outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr. and infielders Alex Binelas and David Hamilton.

What does it give the Milwaukee Brewers
In Renfroe, the Brew Crew land a quality replacement for Avisail Garcia (who left via free agency) in right field. Expect Renfroe to hit in the middle of Milwaukee's lineup in 2022. He enjoyed a renaissance with Boston this past season, but must now adjust once again to new surroundings.

What does it give the Boston Red Sox
The Red Sox bring back Bradley Jr. with this deal, which should help them defensively at the very least. Bradley Jr. can play all three outfield positions, which adds value. Both Binelas and Hamilton are infield prospect for the long term. Boston still needs to do more to get back to World Series contender status.

Fantasy impact
Renfroe is the type of player who should be classified under the boom-or-bust category at this point. He should be a good fit in Milwaukee, but do not overrate him on draft day. Bradley Jr. should be better back in Boston, though his fantasy value is not great anywhere. Keep an eye on Binelas and Hamilton but there is no need to draft them in keeper leagues.
