The Royals had designated Gutierrez for assignment recently, so they did well to get back some cash for his services. Gutierrez failed to impress in KC, despite the team's need for a steady third baseman.
Fantasy impact
Gutierrez will begin his Orioles career in the minor leagues, but expect him to be recalled at some point during the 2021 campaign. He might be worth a stash in the deepest of keeper leagues.
