NICK FRANKLIN HEADS TO THE ANGELS

The Los Angeles Angels acquired infielder/outfielder Nick Franklin from the Milwaukee Brewers for a player to be named later or cash considerations.

What does it give the Los Angeles Angels
The Angels are taking a chance on Franklin, who has power from both sides of the plate and can play both the outfield and infield. He will provide depth and try to revive his sagging career in MLB.

What does it give the Milwaukee Brewers
The Brewers decided to give up on Franklin when regular left-fielder Ryan Braun returned from his latest stint on the disabled list. They will receive a future prospect down the line.

Fantasy impact
The trade might help Franklin get back on track, but he is not likely to see regular at-bats with the Angels--especially when center-fielder Mike Trout returns from injury.
